Mums and Bubs Reformer Physiotherapy

Yates Physiotherapy is now pleased to offer specialised Mums and Bubs classes for women pre and post pregnancy at our new Erindale Clinic.


Mums and Bubs Reformer Physiotherapy classes are the perfect way to safely resume exercise during the post-natal period.  Approximately 6 weeks after the birth of your baby you will be ready for an initial assessment. The initial assessment is very important and will involve discussion of your pregnancy and labour, education and assessment of pelvic floor muscle strength, assessment of rectus diastasis (tummy muscle separation) and any other aches, pains or concerns you may have. Your physiotherapist will use this information to carefully plan and manage your exercise program as you begin group classes.

All of our Mums and Bubs classes are supervised by a qualified physiotherapist and most importantly are baby friendly!


Throughout pregnancy many women find that they develop weakness in various areas including their stomach muscles, back, and core stability. Reformer Physiotherapy, a machine based exercise class, is aimed at strengthening the core muscles that are weakened during pregnancy. Our special “Mums and Bubs” classes are run by one of our fully qualified Physiotherapists, Hannah Lewis, who has a strong passion for Women’s Health and extensive knowledge of Pre & Post Natal exercise. The classes are suitable for Mums and their babies of up to 12 months old, with various rockers and toys to keep little minds busy while our mumma's work their bodies!

*Note: All new clients will require an individual physiotherapy assessment prior to commencing classes in order to tailor a safe and enjoyable program for you.

*We know how busy life can get as a mum, so we are now offering private Mum's and Bub's classes at times not listed on our website for groups of 4. Please call and speak to our friendly staff to arrange a time convenient for you.
